Don Bosco – Garelli United Football Club, also known as Don Bosco Garelli or DB Garelli United, is a professional football club based in Makati, Manila, Philippines. The club last played in the Philippines Football League, the top flight league of football in the Philippines. History Don Bosco Garelli United was established by ex-seminarians and former Don Bosco students as a mean to provide boys education through football. It was named after Bartholomew Garelli, the first student of Italian priest and Roman Catholic saint John Bosco in 1841. Don Bosco Garelli has fielded a 7-a-side team in the AIA 7's Football League. DB Garelli United would enter the 2023 Copa Paulino Alcantara. 2024 Philippines Football League
The 2024 Philippines Football League will be the sixth season of Philippines Football League (PFL), the professional football league of the Philippines. The PFL was previously under the sponsorship title of Qatar Airways. Kaya–Iloilo are the defending champions. Format changes Philippine Football Federation and Liga Futbol Inc. decided on shifting the season back to an intra-year format, starting in February. John Melchior Bosco ( it, Giovanni Melchiorre Bosco; pms, Gioann Melchior Bòsch; 16 August 181531 January 1888), popularly known as Don Bosco , was an Italian Catholic priest, educator, writer and saint of the 19th century. The 7's Football League (7s FL), also known as the AIA 7's Football League due to sponsorship with insurance company AIA Philippines, is a seven-a-side football league in the Philippines. Established in 2018, the league already had four seasons. It has a two-tiered men's division, a women's division, and youth divisions. The 2023 Copa Paulino Alcantara was the fifth edition of the Copa Paulino Alcantara, the domestic football cup competition of the Philippines. The 2023 edition marks the second time that the cup includes non-PFL teams, with the first being the inclusion of the Philippines U22 as a guest team in 2019.
