Dom Shipperley
Dominic Shipperley (born 4 January 1991) is a retired professional rugby union footballer who played for the Australian national team in both test rugby and rugby sevens. In Super Rugby, he played four seasons with the Queensland Reds from 2011 to 2014, and a further two seasons for the Melbourne Rebels. His regular playing position was wing. Early life Shipperley was born in Redcliffe, Queensland. He attended St Joseph's College, Nudgee and in 2008 received an OP1 which is the highest possible mark that can be achieved in the Queensland Certificate of Education. He played for the Australian Schoolboys rugby team in 2008, and with the Brothers club in Brisbane. Redcliffe, Queensland
Redcliffe is a town and suburb in the Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia. Brothers Old Boys
Brothers Rugby Club (formally Brothers Old Boys) is an Australian rugby union club based in Brisbane, Queensland. The name alludes to its beginnings as a rugby club founded by alumni of schools established by the Congregation of Christian Brothers. Brothers currently competes in the Queensland Premier Rugby competition against nine of the states best Rugby Union clubs. National Rugby Championship
The National Rugby Championship, known as NRC, was an Australian rugby union competition. It was contested by eight teams, seven from Australia and one from Fiji. The tournament ran from 2014 until 2019 before being disbanded in 2020 following the change of the Australian rugby TV broadcasting deal from Fox Sports, who had funded the competition, to Stan Sport. The 2020 competition was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Format The National Rugby Championship was usually held between late August and early November. The 2012 Rugby Championship was the inaugural annual rugby union series between the national rugby union teams of New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, and Argentina. For sponsorship reasons, the competition was known as ''The Castle Rugby Championship'' in South Africa, ''The Investec Rugby Championship'' in New Zealand, ''The Castrol Edge Rugby Championship'' in Australia and ''The Personal Rugby Championship'' in Argentina. Drew Mitchell
Drew Alan Mitchell (born 26 March 1984) is a former Australian rugby union professional player. He played on the wing or as fullback. Up to the 2006 season he played for the Queensland Reds. He played for the Western Force for the 2007–09 Super 14 seasons. From 2010 to 2013 he played for the New South Wales Waratahs. Since 2013 he has played for RC Toulon. He made his debut for Australia in 2005 and is Australia's highest try scorer in World Cup history. Hurricanes (Super Rugby Franchise)
The Hurricanes ( ; formerly the Wellington Hurricanes) is a New Zealand professional rugby union team based in Wellington that competes in Super Rugby. The Hurricanes were formed to represent the lower North Island, including the East Coast, Hawke's Bay, Horowhenua Kapiti, Manawatu, Poverty Bay, Wairarapa-Bush, Wanganui and Wellington unions. The 2011 Super Rugby season was the first season of the new 15-team format for the Super Rugby competition, which involved teams from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. The 2010 Hong Kong Sevens is a rugby union sevens tournament, part of the 2009–10 IRB Sevens World Series. The competition was held from March 26–28 in at Hong Kong Stadium in Hong Kong and featured 24 teams. Samoa won its third consecutive Cup after defeating New Zealand in the final. With the victory, Samoa moved into first place in the World Series standings.
