Dolly Anwar
Dolly Anwar (; 1 July 1948 – 3 July 1991) was a Bangladeshi stage, television and film actress and writer and editor of ''Saatdin'' magazine. She was awarded Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in the film '' Surjo Dighol Bari'' (1979). Early life Anwar was the daughter of Nilima Ibrahim, a political and feminist activist, and Muhammad Ibrahim, a physician. She was an undergraduate student in literature at Jagannath College. Career Anwar began her career on stage at the age of 13. At 16, she acted in ''Aktala Dotala'' by Munier Choudhury and ''Roj Roj'' the first play and the first drama serial respectively on Bangladesh Television. She later acted in Zahir Raihan's Borof Gola Nodi and Arek Phalgun plays. Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (abbreviated DMCH) is a public medical college and hospital located in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. It houses medical school as well as a tertiary care hospital on one campus. The country's first ever autologous bone marrow transplant took place in its bone marrow transplant unit. Sheikh Niamat Ali (30 April 1940 – 24 November 2003) was a Bangladeshi film director. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Director in 1979, 1985 and 1995 for all the three feature films he ever made - ''Surja Dighal Bari'', ''Dahan'' and ''Anyajiban'' respectively. Career In 1977, Ali and his co-director Masihuddin Shaker started shooting the film ''Surja Dighal Bari''. The film was based on a novel by Abu Ishaque about the rural people in the 1950s. It won five international awards, including Mannheim Film Festival and Portugal Film Society. It was the first film made from Bangladesh government grant. The University of Dhaka (also known as Dhaka University, or DU) is a public research university located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is the oldest university in Bangladesh. The university opened its doors to students on July 1st 1921. Currently it is the largest public research university in Bangladesh, with a student body of 46,150 and a faculty of 1,992.
