Dollu (film)
''Dollu'' is a 2022 Indian Kannada-language drama film written and directed by Sagar Puranik and produced by Pawan Wadeyar and Apeksha Purohit under the banner of Wadeeyar Movies. The film stars Karthik Mahesh, Nidhi Hegde, Chandra Mayura and Babu Hirannaiah. Dollu was released on 26 August 2022 and was critically acclaimed. At the 68th National Film Awards, the film won two awards for Best Feature Film – Kannada and best audiography. Plot Bhadra, a dollu kunitha artist, is torn between regrouping his Dollu team to keep the age-old traditions of his ancestors alive and fighting with his team members who are shifting to the city, as their art doesn’t provide enough remuneration. Sagar Puranik
Sagar Puranik is a National Award winning director and actor who predominantly works in Kannada film and Television industry. Sagar made his film debut with '' Ring Road Suma'' (2015), which is notable for, it was made by an all-women crew, the first in Kannada language. He was selected as the best debut director (Kannada) in the 11th South Indian International Movie Awards for Dollu, the film won two awards for Best Feature Film – Kannada. Pawan Wadeyar
Pavan Wadeyar (born 10 December 1987) is an Indian film director, screenwriter, lyricist, actor and film producer, producer best known for his work in Cinema of Karnataka, Kannada cinema. He is known for writing and directing ''Govindaya Namaha'' (2012), for which he won the 2nd South Indian International Movie Awards#Main awards, SIIMA award for the Best Debut Director. Being Producer, His Film Dollu (film), Dollu won the National Film Awards, National Film Award for Best Feature Film In Kannada 2022. Karthik Mahesh
Karthik Mahesh (born 7 October) is an Indian actor and model who works in Kannada movies and television. He gained popularity after winning the tenth season of Bigg Boss Kannada (season 10), Bigg Boss Kannada on 28 January 2024. Early life Mahesh hails from a middle-class family in Mysore, Mysuru. 68th National Film Awards
The 68th National Film Awards ceremony was an event during which the Directorate of Film Festivals presented its annual National Film Awards to honour the best films of 2020 in Indian cinema.
