''Dogsbody'' is the debut studio album by American band Model/Actriz. The album was released on February 24, 2023, through True Panther Sounds. Background The album has been recorded since 2021. In an interview with Document Journal, frontman Cole Haden described the album as "Picking up my damn body from all of those times, not knowing what really was meant by all of that suffering… This album is the reason for having experienced all of that." Model/Actriz said that ''Dogsbody'' recorded with afar from the atmosphere of previous EPs. Haden, who is openly gay, said that lyrically he was inspired by the musical ''Cats'' because it "filled imwith sexual vigor and terror." According to Haden, "as a gay person working in a genre that’s not very outwardly gay, the album is very gay. Model/Actriz
Model/Actriz is an American rock band, formed in 2016 in Boston, Massachusetts, that is currently based in Brooklyn, New York. Its members are vocalist Cole Haden, guitarist Jack Wetmore, bassist Aaron Shapiro, and drummer Ruben Radlauer. The band's music has been described as post-punk and noise rock. Frontman Haden often incorporates queer sexual themes in his lyrics "as a gay person working in a genre that’s not very outwardly gay." Their debut album ''Dogsbody'' was released in 2023. The tenor saxophone is a medium-sized member of the saxophone family, a group of instruments invented by Adolphe Sax in the 1840s. The tenor and the alto are the two most commonly used saxophones. The tenor is pitched in the key of B (while the alto is pitched in the key of E), and written as a transposing instrument in the treble clef, sounding an octave and a major second lower than the written pitch. Mastering, a form of audio post production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (the master), the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication). In recent years digital masters have become usual, although analog masters—such as audio tapes—are still being used by the manufacturing industry, particularly by a few engineers who specialize in analog mastering. Mastering requires critical listening; however, software tools exist to facilitate the process. Matt Colton (born 30 March 1975) is an English mastering engineer and member of the mastering group of the Music Producers Guild.
