Dodge Charger (2024)
The eighth-generation Dodge Charger is a full-size car manufactured and marketed by Chrysler, Stellantis North America under the Dodge marque. It was introduced as a production model in March 2024, following appearances of nearly identical concept cars in 2022. It is the first Dodge vehicle to be available with a Battery electric vehicle, battery electric powertrain, marketed as the Charger Daytona. A Gasoline engine, gasoline-powered version called the Charger Sixpack will be available in late 2025, equipped with the 3.0-liter Straight-six engine, inline-six Stellantis Hurricane engine, ''Hurricane'' engine. Dodge is an American brand of automobiles and a division of Stellantis, based in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Dodge vehicles have historically included performance cars, and for much of its existence, Dodge was Chrysler's mid-priced brand above Plymouth. The Dodge Challenger is a full-size muscle car that was introduced in early 2008 originally as a rival to the evolved Ford Mustang (fifth generation), fifth-generation Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro (fifth generation), fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro. In November 2021, Stellantis announced that 2023 model year would be the final model year for both the LD Dodge Charger (2005), Dodge Charger and LA Dodge Challenger, as the company will focus its future plans on electric vehicles rather than fossil fuel powered vehicles, due to tougher emissions standards required by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Environmental Protection Agency for the 2023 model year. Concept cars are often exhibited at motor shows to gauge customer reaction to new and radical designs which may or may not be produced.
