Doctor Chakravarthy
''Doctor Chakravarthy'' is 1964 Indian Telugu-language drama film, produced by D. Madhusudhana Rao and directed by Adurthi Subba Rao. It stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Savitri and Jaggayya, with music composed by S. Rajeswara Rao. The film is based on Koduri Kousalya Devi's novel ''Chakrabhramanam''. It is the first film to win the Nandi Award, instituted by Government of Andhra Pradesh in 1964. It inspired many people in India to become doctors. Acharya Aatreya
Acharya Aatreya (born Kilambi Venkata Narasimhacharyulu ; 7 May 1921 – 13 September 1989) was an Indian poet, lyricist, playwright, and screenwriter known for his works in Telugu cinema and Telugu theatre. He received the state Nandi Award for Best Lyricist in 1981 for "Andamaina Lokamani" from the film ''Tholikoodi Koosindi''. He is popularly known as ''Manasu Kavi (''). Life Athreya was born on 7 May 1921 in Mangalampadu village near Sullurpeta, Nellore district of the Madras Presidency of British India. His birthname was Kilambi Venkata Narasimhacharyulu. He took ''Acharya'' from his birth name and ''Aatreya'' his Gotra name, combined them as ''Acharya Aatreya'' and adopted it as his pen name. Suryakantham (actress)
Suryakantham (28 October 1924 – 18 December 1994) was an Indian actress in Telugu cinema. She was popular for her portrayal of cruel and cunning women with a comedic touch. Early life Suryakantham was born and brought up in a Telugu family residing at Venkata Krishnaraya Puram near Kakinada of East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh. She was the 14th child to her parents, ten of whose children had died. She learnt dance and singing at the age of six. She married Peddibhotla Chalapati Rao, a High Court Judge, in 1950. The National Film Award for Best Telugu Feature Film is one of the National Film Awards presented annually by the National Film Development Corporation of India. Kosaraju Raghavayya (23 June 1905 – 27 October 1987), known mononumously by his surname Kosaraju, was an Indian lyricist and poet known for his works in Telugu cinema. Madhavapeddi Satyam (11 March 1922 – 18 December 2000) was an Indian playback singer and actor who predominantly worked in Telugu cinema. He entered films as a singer-actor in Y. V. Rao's Tamil-Hindi bilingual movie ''Ramadas'' in the year 1946, playing the role of Kabir. However, he became more popular as a playback singer due to his booming voice. Arudra (born Bhagavatula Sadasiva Sankara Sastry; 31 August 1925 – 4 June 1998) was an Indian author, poet, lyricist, translator, publisher, dramatist, playwright, and an expert on Telugu literature.
