Doc (Fraggle Rock)
Jerome Crystal, better known by his nickname Doc, is a fictional character from Jim Henson's television series ''Fraggle Rock''. He is the only major human character on the show, as well as the only character to appear in all 96 episodes of the series. Doc is an elderly inventor and tinkerer who loves to build strange contraptions. He lives with his dog, Sprocket, in a workshop that contains a hole leading to into Fraggle Rock, the home of the Fraggles. Doc does not know about the Fraggles at the start of the series, though he later learns about their existence. Doc was played by Irish-Canadian actor Gerard Parkes in the original series, as well as in the 1987 TV special ''A Muppet Family Christmas''. Several other actors played variants of Doc in the international versions of ''Fraggle Rock''. The Muppets
The Muppets are an American ensemble cast of puppet characters known for an absurdist, burlesque, and self-referential style of variety-sketch comedy. Created by Jim Henson in 1955, they are the focus of a media franchise that encompasses television, film, music, and other media associated with the characters. ''Jim Henson's Muppet Babies'', commonly known by the shortened title ''Muppet Babies'', is an American animated television series produced by Marvel Productions and Henson Associates. The show aired from September 15, 1984, to November 2, 1991, as part of the Saturday-morning cartoons lineup on CBS. Due to its popularity, the show remained on television in the United States for a decade. The show portrays toddler versions of the Muppets living together in a nursery under the care of a woman known as Nanny, involving the concepts of the power of imagination and creative problem-solving. Simon O'Brien (presenter)
Simon O'Brien (born 19 June 1965 in Garston, Liverpool, Merseyside) is a British television actor and radio presenter as well as a property developer. Career He came to prominence as the character Damon Grant in '' Brookside'', a role he played from the soap's launch in 1982 until 1987, when his character was killed off in York at the end of the 'soap bubble' '' Damon and Debbie''. John Gordon Sinclair
John Gordon Sinclair (born Gordon John Sinclair; 4 February 1962) is a Scottish actor, voice actor, singer, and novelist. He is best known for portraying Gregory in the 1981 film '' Gregory's Girl''. There was a Gordon Sinclair already registered with Equity, so he took John Gordon Sinclair as his professional name. In 2019, Sinclair played Drew Cubbin in the BBC drama '' Traces''. William Fulton Beith Mackay (12 August 1922 – 6 June 1987) was a Scottish actor and playwright, best known for his role as prison officer Mr. Mackay in the 1970s television sitcom ''Porridge''. Early life Mackay was born in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland. He was brought up in Clydebank by a widowed aunt after the death of his mother from diabetes. His father was employed by the NAAFI. Fozzie Bear is a Muppet character best known as the insecure and comedically fruitless stand-up comic on ''The Muppet Show.'' Jim Henson
James Maury Henson (September 24, 1936 – May 16, 1990) was an American puppeteer, animator, cartoonist, actor, inventor, and filmmaker who achieved worldwide notice as the creator of The Muppets and '' Fraggle Rock'' (1983–1987) and director of '' The Dark Crystal'' (1982) and '' Labyrinth'' (1986). He was born in Greenville, Mississippi, and raised in both Leland, Mississippi, and University Park, Maryland. Henson began developing puppets in high school.
