Do Gyeong-dong
Do Gyeong-dong (; born 19 August 1999) is a South Korean sabre fencer. He competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics and won a gold medal in the men's team sabre event. Biography Do was born on 19 August 1999. From Yeongcheon, he attended and then , where he competed in sabre fencing under coach Lee Seung-yong, who participated at the 1992 Summer Olympics. He later attended Dong-Eui University in Busan, where he studied physical education. In 2019, his second year at the university, he helped his school's team place runner-up at the national championships and was selected for the South Korean U-23 national team, competing at the Asian U-23 championships where he helped his team win the gold medal and won an individual gold medal. In 2021, Do was named to the national team after reaching the semifinals of the President's Cup National Championships, later competing for the national team at the International Grand Prix in France. Yeongcheon
Yeongcheon (; ) is a city in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. Yeongcheon is located southeast of Seoul, in the southeast of North Gyeongsang Province. It is on the Gyeongbu Expressway linking Seoul and Busan, and is also the junction of the Jungang and Daegu railway lines. 2021 Summer World University Games
The 2021 Summer World University Games ( zh, , s=2021年夏季世界大学生运动会, labels=no), officially known as the XXXI Summer World University Games and also known as Chengdu 2021, was a multi-sport event sanctioned by the International University Sports Federation (FISU), held from 28 July to 8 August 2023 in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. It was the fourth time the Games was hosted in China. This is the first time the Games was referred to as the "Summer World University Games" rather than the "Summer FISU World University Games, Universiade."
