Dmytro Timashov
Dmytro "Dima" Timashov ( uk, Дмитро Тимашов; born 1 October 1996) is a Ukrainian-born Swedish professional ice hockey forward for Brynäs IF of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Playing career Timashov made his Swedish Hockey League debut playing with Modo Hockey during the 2013–14 SHL season. Following this season, Timashov left Sweden to join the Quebec Remparts. On 27 June 2015, during the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, Timashov was selected in the 5th round, 125th overall, by the Toronto Maple Leafs. On 6 January 2016, Timashov was traded to the Shawinigan Cataractes. The trade came after weeks of speculation; it was previously reported Timashov would be on the move to the Moncton Wildcats, but he had refused to waive his no-movement clause to be sent to the club. Moncton Wildcats
The Moncton Wildcats are a junior ice hockey team in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League from Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. The franchise was granted for the 1995–96 season, known as the Moncton Alpines for one season, and as the Wildcats since. The team played at the Moncton Coliseum from 1995 until 2018, and moved into the Avenir Centre for the 2018–19 season. After winning the 2005–06 QMJHL championship, the team hosted the 2006 Memorial Cup. The Wildcats also won the 2009–10 QMJHL championship, which sent the team to compete in the 2010 Memorial Cup in Brandon, Manitoba. 2016 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships
The 2016 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships was the 40th Ice Hockey World Junior Championship. It was hosted in Helsinki, Finland. It began on December 26, 2015, and ended with the gold medal game on January 5, 2016. This marked the sixth time that Finland has hosted the WJC, and the hosts defeated Russia 4–3 in overtime to win their fourth title in history and second in the last three years.
