Dmitry Zherebchenko
Dmitry Anatolyevich Zherebchenko (russian: Дмитрий Анатольевич Жеребченко; born 27 June 1989) is a Russian foil fencer, gold medallist in the 2017 World Championships. Zherebchenko was a substitute for Russia's foil team which took gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro Rio de Janeiro ( , , ; literally 'River of January'), or simply Rio, is the capital of the state of the same name, Brazil's third-most populous state, and the second-most populous city in Brazil, after São Paulo. Kurchatov (russian: Курча́тов) is a town in Kursk Oblast, Russia, located on the Seym River west of Kursk. Fencing is a group of three related combat sports. The three disciplines in modern fencing are the foil, the épée, and the sabre (also ''saber''); winning points are made through the weapon's contact with an opponent. A fourth discipline, singlestick, appeared in the 1904 Olympics but was dropped after that and is not a part of modern fencing. Fencing was one of the first sports to be played in the Olympics.
