Career He played the 2009 season for FC Alania Vladikavkaz on loan from PFC CSKA Moscow. The Russia national under-17 football team, controlled by the Russian Football Union, represents Russia at the UEFA European Under-17 Championship, FIFA U-17 World Cup and international friendly match fixtures at the under-17 age level. On 28 February 2022, accordance with a "recommendation" by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), FIFA and UEFA suspended the participation of Russia, including in the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The Russian Cup () is a football competition held annually by the Football Union of Russia for professional and some amateur (only after a special permission and licensing by Russian Football Union) football clubs. The winner of the competition ordinarily got a spot in the UEFA Europa League first qualifying round. Alan Yelizbarovich Dzagoev (, ; ; romanized as Dzagoyev; born 17 June 1990) is a Russian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. After joining Akademiya Tolyatti in 2006, he remained there for two seasons before transferring to CSKA Moscow. Following a successful debut season in the Russian Premier League, he won the award for Best Young Player in the league and made his way into the Russian national team. Akademiya () was a Russian association football club from Tolyatti, Russia. The club was founded in 1991 as a result of the merger between Energiya () and Lada-Simbirsk (). Before the 2010 season, two teams from Tolyatti, FC Togliatti and FC Lada Togliatti, were excluded from the professional leagues, with FC Akademiya representing Tolyatti at the time.
