Djourf Al Ahmar or Djourouf Al Ahmar () is one of two departments in Sila, a region of Chad. Its capital is Am Dam. Djourf Al Ahmar was formerly one of four departments in the Ouaddaï region of Chad. In 2008 the Sila region was created from the Ouaddaï region's former departments of Sila and Djourf Al Ahmar. Sila Region
Sila or Dar Sila is a provinces of Chad, province of Chad, located in the south-east of the country. It was created in 2008 from the departments of Sila Department, Sila and Djourf Al Ahmar Department, Djourf Al Ahmar which were previously part of Ouaddaï Region. The capital city, capital of the region is Goz Beïda. Am Dam () is the capital of Djourf Al Ahmar Department in Sila Region, Chad, located at an important crossroads in the Batha River valley. It is a small town about northwest of Goz-Beida and by road from the capital N'Djamena. Am Dam is also the name of the Sub-Prefecture that the city is within.
