Divorce (TV Series)
''Divorce'' (styled as ''Divorce.'') is an American comedy-drama television series created by Sharon Horgan, set in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, and starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Thomas Haden Church as a middle-aged divorcing couple. The series premiered on HBO on October 9, 2016. The pilot episode was written by Horgan and directed by Jesse Peretz. On November 14, 2016, HBO renewed the show for a second season, which premiered on January 14, 2018. On November 2, 2018, HBO renewed the show for a third season, which was later announced on its premiere date to be the final season. Comedy Drama
Comedy drama (also known by the portmanteau dramedy) is a hybrid genre of works that combine elements of comedy and Drama (film and television), drama. ''Variety'' is an American trade magazine owned by Penske Media Corporation. It was founded by Sime Silverman in New York City in 1905 as a weekly newspaper reporting on theater and vaudeville. James Lesure (born September 21, 1970) is an American film and television actor, best known for roles on the NBC/The WB sitcom ''For Your Love'' (1998–2002), and NBC comedy-drama ''Las Vegas'' (2003–2008), ''Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce'' (2017–2018) and '' Good Girls'' (2018–2020). Keisha Zollar is an American writer, comedian, and actress. She is a founding member of Upright Citizen Brigade Theatre's first all-black team Astronomy Club and was co-head writer for the group's Netflix series. Zollar was on the writing staff of ''Busy Tonight'', and ''The Opposition with Jordan Klepper''. Career Zollar began performing improv comedy in college. After receiving her MFA in acting from The New School, she started taking classes at UCB in New York. She names Lucille Ball, Moms Mabley, and Whoopi Goldberg as her comedic inspirations.
