Swedish Football Division 3
Division 3 is the fifth level in the league system of Swedish football and comprises 144 Swedish football teams. Division 3 had status as the official third level from 1928 to 1986, but was replaced by Division 2 in 1987. It then had status as the official fourth level until 2005, but was replaced once again as Division 1 was recreated in 2006. The competition There are 144 clubs in Division 3, divided in 12 groups of 12 teams each representing a geographical area. During the course of a season (starting in April and ending in October) each club plays the others twice, once at their home stadium and once at that of their opponents, for a total of 22 games. The top team in each Division 3 group is promoted to Division 2 and the two lowest placed teams from each Division 2 league are relegated in their place. Infjärdens SK is a Swedish football team from Roknäs in Piteå Municipality, Norrbotten that is currently playing in Division 3 Norra Norrland . Background Infjärdens SK (abbreviated ISK) originates from three clubs: *''Långnäs IF'' (formed 1931) specialising in football, bandy, skiing, athletics and hockey. *''Rokna IF'' (formed 1932) specialising in football, skiing, hockey and table tennis. *''Sjulnäs IF'' (formed 1943) specialising in football. In 1949 Sjulnäs IF merged with Rokna IF to become ''Rokna-Sjulnäs SK'' (RSSK). The main activities of the club were football and hockey. In 1966 RSSK merged with Långnäs IF (LIF) to form ''Rokna-Långnäs SK'' (RLSK). Malmbergets Almänna Idrottsförening, MAIF, is a multi-sport club from Malmberget, Norrbotten, Sweden. The club has been most successful in team handball and Nordic skiing. History The club was founded on 22 February 1904. Initially, the club arranged Nordic skiing and cross-country running contests, whereas the construction of a football pitch started in 1905. The club was «restructured» in 1916, and incorporated the wrestling club BK Thule in 1917 and the skiing club Malmbergets SF in 1920. The club's first great athlete was the wrestler J. Välima, who became Swedish champion in 1919 and competed at the 1921 World Championships. In 1936 the bandy section was discontinued, but it was replaced by an ice hockey section in 1944. Morön BK
Morön BK is a Swedish football club located in Skellefteå in Västerbotten County. Background Morön Bollklubb was formed at a meeting held in 1935, the driving force being Elof Burman who became the club chairman. After a lot of hard work by club members who prepared the Skogsvallen stadium, the club purchased the venue in 1942 for 4000 kr. Skogsvallen was completed in 1945 and the inaugural match was against Sunnanå SK with the home side winning 2–1. Sävast AIF
Sävast AIF is a Swedish football club located in Sävast which is a neighbourhood of Boden, Norrbotten County. Background Sävast AIF was formed in 1977 with five sections covering Skiing, Tennis, Basketball, Football and Orienteering. In 1996 the separate sports split away from the club, partly because it was difficult to form a main board. Everyone wanted to work with their own sport leaving football to maintain the identity of Sävast AIF. Sävast AIF has at most run 17 teams catering for approximately 400 young people.
