''Divine Design'' is the fourth album by hip hop artist Jeru the Damaja. It is produced by Ed Dantez and Luis "Sabor" Tineo as opposed Jeru's earlier albums which were produced by DJ Premier and Jeru himself. Album information It was not a critical success contrasting with Jeru's first two albums and similar to '' Heroz4Hire'', it did not chart or have any charting singles. It features no guest appearances and Jeru does not try promoting colleagues such as Afu-Ra and Miz Marvel on the album. Kendrick Jeru Davis (born February 14, 1971), known as Jeru the Damaja (/'jeiru: ðə ˈdæmɪʤə ''JAY''-roo thuh ''DAM''- ''ih''-juh), is an American rapper and record producer. He is known for his 1993 single " Come Clean" from his debut album, '' The Sun Rises in the East'', ranked as one of the 100 greatest hip-hop albums of all time by the editors of About.com. He has worked extensively with Guru and DJ Premier of Gang Starr, whom he has known since he was in high school. Early life Jeru the Damaja was born February 14, 1971, in Brooklyn, New York, and spent his early years in the borough's East New York neighborhood, where he began rhyming at block parties as a youth. ''Heroz4Hire'' is the third studio album by hip hop artist Jeru the Damaja. It was produced by Jeru himself, unlike his first two albums, which were produced by DJ Premier. Album information This album lacked the critical acclaim of Jeru's first two albums. It also did not chart, or have any charting singles. The album features Miz Marvel and Lil' Dap (of Group Home) as guests. Afu-Ra is not featured, as on Jeru's previous albums. Miz Marvel, a member of Jeru's Supahuman Klik and Knowsavage record label, appears on four tracks. Christopher Edward Martin (born March 21, 1966), known professionally as DJ Premier (also known as Preemo), is an American record producer and DJ. He has been frequently lauded as one of hip hop's greatest producers by publications such as '' Vibe''. Aaron Ocosice Phillip (born January 31, 1974), known professionally as Afu-Ra, is an American rapper. A member of the Gang Starr Foundation, he has worked closely with its members, including Gang Starr, Jeru the Damaja, Big Shug and Group Home. Career Afu-Ra grew up in Brooklyn with frequent collaborator Jeru the Damaja.
