Dito Godwin
Dito Godwin (1955–2021) was an American record producer and executive, best known for his production works with Mötley Crüe, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley of Kiss, Great White, No Doubt and more recently Kevin Carlberg, The Stick People and Kristy Lee Cook of ''American Idol.'' Biography Godwin started his career in New York as a musician touring with names like Black Sabbath before turning to the administrative and production roles he has worked in for over 25 years in the industry. He has also taught at UCLA, University of Sound Arts, LACC, Southern Oregon University, and guest spoken at NXNW, SXSW, LAMP and many other music conventions nationwide. In 2003, Godwin consulted with Tony Brown (then President of MCA Records) choosing material for Wynonna Judd's upcoming CD. Black Sabbath are an English rock band formed in Birmingham in 1968 by guitarist Tony Iommi, drummer Bill Ward (musician), Bill Ward, bassist Geezer Butler, and vocalist Ozzy Osbourne. Cat 1 (album)
''Cat #1'' is the fourth solo studio album released by former Kiss drummer Peter Criss, and first under the band name Criss. Criss re-recorded the Kiss song " Beth" for the album. Unlike the orchestrated original version, the new recording was an acoustic version. The album also features former-Kiss bandmate Ace Frehley playing guitar on three tracks ("Bad Attitude", "Walk The Line" & "Blue Moon Over Brooklyn"). Background In 1993, Criss released a special limited edition preview EP compact disc entitled ''Criss'' for the forthcoming album. Three tracks were eventually released on the 1994 CD while two tracks were only available on the limited edition CD. Interscope Records is an American record label based in Santa Monica, California, owned by Universal Music Group through its Interscope Geffen A&M imprint. ''No Doubt'' is the debut studio album by American rock band No Doubt, released on March 17, 1992, by Interscope Records. It was originally recorded as an independent release, but was re-recorded after the band signed with Interscope. It was produced by Dito Godwin and recorded in Los Angeles. The album was released during a period of popularity for grunge music, an aggressive rock style which contrasted with No Doubt's upbeat sound. Despite strong audience reaction to the band's tours, album sales under-performed expectations and sold about 30,000 copies, and received mixed reviews. Interscope refused to fund the release of a single from the album, so No Doubt released the single " Trapped in a Box" independently. Too Fast For Love
''Too Fast for Love'' is the debut studio album by American heavy metal band Mötley Crüe. The first edition of 900 copies was released on November 10, 1981, on the band's original label Leathür Records. Elektra Records signed the band the following year, at which point the album was remixed and partially re-recorded. This re-release, with a different track listing and slightly different artwork (e.g., red lettering on the cover and a different interior photograph of the band), has become the standard version from which all later reissues derive. The re-recorded album also removed the song "Stick to Your Guns", though it is featured on a bonus track version of the album. The original mix of the album remained unreleased on CD until 2002, when it was included in the '' Music to Crash Your Car To: Vol. 1'' box set compilation. Tony Brown (born December 11, 1946) is an American record producer and pianist, known primarily for his work in country music. A former member of the Stamps Quartet and backing musician for Emmylou Harris, Brown has primarily worked as a producer since the late 1980s. He is known primarily for his production work with Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, and George Strait. Brown will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in 2025. South by Southwest (SXSW) is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and Convention (meeting), conferences organized jointly that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas.
