Concord Dawn is a New Zealand drum and bass group, active since mid-1999, consisting of Matt Harvey (aka Matty C). Until 2010, Evan Short was one half of the group. They were courted by local electronic music label Kog Transmissions and released their first album, ''Concord Dawn'', in July 2000. Damian Higgins (born 1972) better known by his stage name Dieselboy, is an American drum and bass DJ and music producer. Early life Dieselboy was born Damian Higgins in Tarpon Springs, Florida in 1972. At the age of six he moved to Colorado City, Colorado, where he and his two sisters were raised by their mother. He moved with his family to Oil City, Pennsylvania, on the third day of school in the 9th grade, and is a graduate of Oil City Senior High School. He is the eldest son of singer/songwriter Bertie Higgins whose ballad ''Key Largo'' reached #8 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 1982. Higgins's early musical experience included playing drums in a school marching band and DJing for high school dances. Higgins attended the University of Pittsburgh from 1990 to 1995 where he gained additional DJing experience, and completed a degree in information science. Klute is the primary recording alias of Thomas Harold George Withers, a drum and bass producer and DJ from Ipswich, UK. He is also the drummer, vocalist and songwriter of the English hardcore band The Stupids. Klute first turned to electronic production in the early 1990s, experimenting with techno before turning to drum and bass. He released two 12" singles under the 'Override' alias in 1995 and 1996, as well as appearing on Ninja Tune compilations. In 1997 he released the 12" single ''Deep Control'' under the alias 'The Spectre'. In 1998 the debut Klute LP '' Casual Bodies'' was released on the Certificate 18 imprint; '' Fear of People'' followed in 2000. In 2001 he established the label Commercial Suicide.
