Displeased Records
Displeased Records was a Dutch independent record label, founded by Lars Eikema and Ron Veltkamp. The label had many Dutch and other extreme metal bands on its roster, but has also re-released albums by Agathocles (band), Agathocles, Cryptopsy, Infernäl Mäjesty, Sadus, Toxik and Whiplash (band), Whiplash. The label also had a large mail order division called Discorder.com. History Displeased Records was founded in 1992 by Lars Eikema and Ron Veltkamp. In the beginning the main focus was to release compilation CDs from unknown/unsigned artists playing all types of heavy metal music, heavy metal, like death metal, thrash metal, etc. After a distribution network was set up Displeased Records started releasing studio albums of metal acts like Nembrionic, Altar (Dutch band), Altar, Hybernoid and Celestial Season. Independent Record Labels
An independent record label (or indie label) is a record label that operates without the funding or distribution of major record labels; they are a type of small and medium-sized enterprise, small- to medium-sized enterprise, or SME. Studio Album

Striborg
Striborg is a black metal / ambient project of Australian musician Russell Menzies. The project first began in 1994 under the name Kathaaria and during this time the stage name "Vvelkaarn" was used. The name Kathaaria was adapted from a Darkthrone song titled "Kathaarian Life Code". Three full-length albums were released as Kathaaria; one each year from 1995 to 1997. Following the release of the third album, Menzies grew dissatisfied with the direction of the project and the first album under the name "Striborg" was released later that year. With this change, he also adopted the new stage name "Sin Nanna". From 1997 the Striborg sound solidified around a singular lo-fi black metal style combined with ambient pieces, with all instruments and vocals primarily recorded by Menzies at his home. Sadist (band)
Sadist is an Italian death metal band formed in Genoa, Italy, in January 1991. It debuted with ''Black Screams'' in 1991, then released three albums. The band went on hiatus after releasing the album ''Lego'' in 2000. They reunited in 2005 and released their self-titled album in 2007. Sadist has released three more albums since then. In total, the band has released nine albums and one EP. They are currently signed to Scarlet Records. Guitarist and keyboardist, Tommy Talamanca, has been a constant member throughout the band's existence, as the main composer and co-producer of their musical output. Officium Triste
Officium Triste is a death-doom band from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. They refer to their style often as "Rotterdoom". It is largely inspired by bands like My Dying Bride and early Anathema, but the last album is slower and more melodic. The vocals are mostly unintelligible death grunts but with occasional clean vocals. Their home-venue is Baroeg in Rotterdam. History The origins of Officium Triste trace back to the early 1990s when Martin and Johan made the decision to establish a metal band. Hades Almighty
Hades Almighty is a Norwegian black metal band from Bergen, formed in 1992 and originally named Hades. The band was forced to change their name to Hades Almighty in 1998, following complaints from an American band with a prior claim to the name. Hades Almighty has released four studio albums since their formation. History Hades was formed in Bergen, Norway in 1992 by ex- Immortal guitarist Jørn Inge Tunsberg and ex-Dark drummer Remi Andersen. They were later joined by vocalist and bassist Jan Otto "Janto" Garmannslund and second guitarist Wilhelm Nagel. Hades' first demo, ''Alone Walkyng'', was recorded in June 1993 at Grieghallen and produced by Pytten. Dead Head is a Dutch thrash metal band from the city Kampen. The band was formed in 1989 by the four original members Tom van Dijk (bass, vocals), Robbie Woning (guitar), Ronnie van der Wey (guitar), and Hans Spijker (drums). Their mission was to become the most intensive and brutal thrash metal band Europe ever had seen. They were influenced by classic thrash metal bands like Dark Angel, Kreator and Sadus. Consolation (band)
Consolation is the name of a former Dutch death metal/grindcore band from the Zaanstreek that formed in 1989. They released three full-length albums through Displeased Records and were called the Dutch "Gods of Grind"; at their peak, in the late 1990s, they were one of the highest rated metal bands in the Netherlands, according to Dutch metal magazine ''Aardschok''. The band split up in 1999. They more or less restarted in 2002 as Cardinal, playing shows as late as 2005. Pestilence (band)
Pestilence is a Dutch death metal band founded in Enschede in 1986. They have been through various membership changes throughout their existence, with guitarist-vocalist Patrick Mameli as the sole constant member. After disbanding in order to pursue other musical directions in 1994, Pestilence reunited in 2008, and was put on a "permanent hold" in July 2014. Roadrunner Records is a Dutch–American record label focused on Heavy metal music, heavy metal and hard rock music. Founded in the Netherlands in 1980, it is now a division of Warner Music Group and is based in New York City.
