''Disobey'' is the debut studio album by the American heavy metal band Bad Wolves. The album peaked at number 23 on the US ''Billboard'' 200 chart. The first single, "Toast to the Ghost", was released on November 2, 2017. They are also known for "Zombie", a cover of the 1994 song originally performed by The Cranberries, which was released on January 18, 2018, as the second single. The third single, "Hear Me Now", was released on April 20, 2018. The fourth and final single, " Remember When" was released on June 21, 2018. Bad Wolves is an American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles, California in 2017. Initially finding fame from their first single, a cover of the Cranberries' 1994 hit "Zombie (The Cranberries song)#Bad Wolves cover, Zombie", the band proceeded to find further success with a number of songs topping the ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard'' Mainstream Rock (chart), Mainstream Rock Songs chart, including "Remember When (Bad Wolves song), Remember When", "Killing Me Slowly", and "Sober (Bad Wolves song), Sober". Thomas Cummings (born April 15, 1982), better known under the stage name Tommy Vext, is an American heavy metal singer known as the former lead vocalist of Bad Wolves, Divine Heresy, Snot and Westfield Massacre. He has also released several solo albums. Career Early career Vext began his music career in Brooklyn, New York as a teenager singing in local hardcore bands and engaging in freestyle rap battles with the neighborhood's preeminent hopefuls. Being too young, Vext had to sneak into clubs even for his own shows. In 1996, he formed the band Maniacal Disciple with friends Jim Donovan, Steve Perlmutter, and Mike Kontaras, eventually changing their name to "Vext" (a word he found in Wu-Tang Clan's lyrics), which eventually became his nickname after he started to be known as "Tommy Vext" in the New York hardcore scene. Groove Metal
Groove metal, sometimes also called neo-thrash or post-thrash, is a subgenre of heavy metal music that began in the early 1990s. The genre is primarily derived from thrash metal, but played in slower tempos, and making use of rhythmic guitar parts. It was pioneered in the late 1980s by groups like Exhorder, Prong and Bad Brains, and then popularized by the commercial success of Pantera, White Zombie, Machine Head and Sepultura. Diamond Ballroom is a historic music venue and dance hall located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The building opened in November 21, 1964. Oklahoma City attorney Ralph Russell, Sr. and several local business partners opened the venue wanting to provide a space for local and traveling country-swing bands to perform in Oklahoma City. The building was originally advertised as "The Largest Dance Floor in the Southwest" with a 50 foot by 150 foot maple wood floor.
