Discovery Channel (often referred to as simply Discovery) is an Indian pay television channel owned by Warner Bros. Discovery for the Indian subcontinent. Launched on 15 August 1995. It is the Indian version of Discovery Channel. It is available in eight languages including Hindi, English, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali and Marathi while the Tamil language has a separate dedicated channel DTamil. The channel can be viewed on digital cable and satellite television in India. The channel also available on its OTT services Discovery Plus. History The channel was launched on 15 August 1995. At that time the channel mostly aired shows from its American counterpart. On March 31, 2008, Discovery unveiled a new logo, which took effect on-air on April 15, 2008 (coinciding with the fourth season premiere of ''Deadliest Catch''). American Digger is an American reality television series airing on Discovery Networks. The show follows former professional wrestler Frank Huguelet (aka Ric Savage) and his company American Savage as they search the United States for buried historical artifacts. The second season of the show was retitled Savage Family Diggers as Savage's wife Rita and son Nick join the crew. "Hooked on a Feeling" is a 1968 pop song, written by Mark James and originally performed by B. J. Thomas. Thomas's version featured the sound of the electric sitar (played by Reggie Young) and reached No. 5 in 1969 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. It has been recorded by many other artists, including Blue Swede, whose version reached No. 1 in the United States in 1974. Blue Swede () were a Swedish rock band fronted by Björn Skifs which was active between the years 1973–1979. Blue Swede released two albums of cover versions, including a rendition of " Hooked on a Feeling", which brought them international chart success. The band consisted of Anders Berglund (piano), Björn Skifs (lead vocals), Bosse Liljedahl (bass), Hinke Ekestubbe (saxophone), Jan Guldbäck (drums), Michael Areklew (guitar), and Tommy Berglund (trumpet).
