Dipo Dina
Otunba Dipo Dina (July 15, 1960 - January 25, 2010) was a Nigerian politician, philanthropist, administrator, community leader and chartered accountant from Ogun State. Early life and career Adedipupo Akanni Dina was born on July 15, 1960, into the Dipo Alapo Ekun family of Iyanro, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State. He had his secondary education at the Baptist Academy, Lagos, before going on to the University of Lagos where he got his first degree in Accounting and later M.Sc. in finance. He became a Chartered Accountant in 1984 and subsequently founded and until his death was Senior Partner at Dele Dina & Co. (an accounting firm). Between 1997 and 1999 Dipo served as the chairman of Ogun State Bulk Purchase Commission where he reportedly donated his salaries and allowances to the School of the Handicapped, in Ijebu Ode. Ijebu Ode
Ijebu-Ode is a town in Ogun State, South Western geopolitical zone in Nigeria, close to the A121 highway. The city is located 110 km by road Northeast of Lagos; it is within of the Atlantic Ocean in the eastern part of Ogun State and possesses a warm tropical climate. Ibikunle Amosun (; born 25 January 1958) is a Nigerian politician, former governor of Ogun State and two-term senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He first served as an elected senator for Ogun Central district of Ogun State, Nigeria from June 2003 to June 2007, and reelected in 2019. After an unsuccessful bid for governor of Ogun State in April 2007, he was elected governor of the state on the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) platform in 2011. He contested again for a second term as governor under the All Progressives Congress and after winning the election, was sworn into office on 29 May 2015. Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium, formerly the Gateway Stadium, is a multi-use stadium in Ijebu-Ode, Nigeria. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground for Atlantic Business FC. It was formerly the home ground for FC Ebedei before they moved to their own stadium in Sagamu. During the 2024–25 Nigeria Premier Football League season, Sunshine Stars F.C. relocated there temporarily while their home ground in Ondo State was being renovated. The stadium has a capacity of 20,000 people. It was renovated for the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup. The stadium was renamed in 2011 after Otunba Dipo Dina, an assassinated political candidate. Ogun State
Ogun State is a state in southwestern Nigeria. It is bordered to the south by Lagos State and the Bight of Benin, to the east by Ondo State, and to the north by Oyo and Osun states while its western border forms part of the national border with the Republic of Benin. Dolphin Estate is a gated community in Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria. History The Dolphin Estate was one of Ikoyi's first gated communities. built by Messrs HFP Engineering Nigeria in 1990 for the Lagos State Development and Property Corporation, LSDPC. Lagos Baptist Academy is a Baptist secondary school located in Obanikoro, Lagos, Nigeria. The school is regarded as a sister school to Reagan Memorial Baptist Girls' Secondary School, Yaba, Lagos and Baptist Girls' Academy, Obanikoro, Lagos. It is affiliated with the Nigerian Baptist Convention. History The school was established in 1855 by the American Baptist Missionaries and can be traced to the establishment of First Baptist Church Mission in Lagos by an African-American missionary.
