Dionysios Ikkos
Dionysios (Denis) Ikkos (1921, Syrrako –1993) was a Greek physician who trained in Endocrinology at Karolinska Hospital, Stockholm with Rolf Luft and co-described the Luft-Ikkos mitochondrial syndrome. Syrrako
Syrrako ( el, Συρράκο, between 1940 and 2002: Σιράκο - ''Sirako''; rup, Siracu) is a village and a former community in the Ioannina regional unit, Epirus, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality North Tzoumerka, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 29.307 km2. It has a predominantly Aromanian population, and is located 52 km southeast of Ioannina at an altitude of 1200 m, on the mountain Peristeri. It is built on a steep slope and retains its traditional buildings. It is the hometown of the poet and author Kostas Krystallis and Prime Minister Ioannis Kolettis. Evangelismos Hospital
Athens General Hospital 'Evangelismos' ( el, Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Αθηνών «Ο Ευαγγελισμός») is one of the largest public hospitals in Greece. It is located in a sub-neighbourhood of Kolonaki named after it, Evangelismos. Construction of the building began on 25 March 1881 (architect Gerasimos Metaxas) and was finished exactly three years later on 25 March 1884, when it opened to the public on 16 April. Until 1983, the hospital was run as a charitable organization, but in that year it was nationalized and became part of the public health system.
