Dino Lanaro
Dino Lanaro (1909 - 1998) was an Italian people, Italian painter of the ''Corrente de Vita'' movement started in Milan as a counterpoint to nationalistic Futurism and the Novecento Italiano movements. He often painted bright landscapes with houses. Biography Dino was born in Malo, Veneto, Malo in the province of Vicenza. By the age of 15, he had to work adding tint and color to prints for a publishing house, where he learned typography and lithography. He briefly served in the army during the first world war, but moved to Padua where he met other artists. In 1931, he exhibited that year with Antonio Morato (painter), Antonio Morato, Dino Lazzaro, and Luigi Strazzabosco at the Mostra Internazionale di Arte Sacra in Padua. In 1937, he moved to Milan, where he would join the Corrente Movement, befriending Renato Birolli, and exhibiting with the group at the Galleria on Via Spiga. Brera Academy
The Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera (), also known as the or Brera Academy, is a state-run tertiary public academy of fine arts in Milan, Italy. It shares its history, and its main building, with the Pinacoteca di Brera, Milan's main public museum for art. In 2010 an agreement was signed to move the accademia to a former military barracks, the Caserma Magenta in via Mascheroni. In 2018 it was announced that Caserma Magenta was no longer a viable option, with the former railway yard in Via Farini now under consideration as a potential venue for the campus extension. Novecento Italiano () was an Italian artistic movement founded in Milan in 1922 to create an art based on the rhetoric of the fascism of Benito Mussolini, Mussolini. History Novecento Italiano was founded by Anselmo Bucci (1887–1955), Leonardo Dudreville (1885–1975), Achille Funi, Gian Emilio Malerba (1880–1926), Piero Marussig, Pietro Marussig, Ubaldo Oppi, and Mario Sironi. Motivated by a post-war "Return to order, call to order", they were brought together by Lino Pesaro, a gallery owner interested in modern art, and Margherita Sarfatti, a writer and art critic who worked on Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, Benito Mussolini's newspaper, ''Il Popolo d'Italia, The People of Italy'' (''Il Popolo d'Italia''). Renato Birolli
Renato Birolli (10 December 1905 – 3 May 1959) was an Italian painter. Biography Birolli was born at Verona to a family of industrial workers. In 1923 he moved to Milan where he formed an avant-gardist group with artists such as Renato Guttuso, Giacomo Manzù and Aligi Sassu. In 1937 he was a member of the artistical movement ''Corrente di Vita''. In the same year, he was arrested by the Fascist government for opposing the regime. He subsequently cast painting aside to devote himself to supporting Communist causes and, later, the partisan resistance. After World War II, in 1947, Birolli moved to Paris. Here his painting style changed under the influence of Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso, moving first to a post-Cubist position and then to a somehow abstract form of lyrism.
