Ding Xuesong
Ding Xuesong (丁雪松; born Chongqing May 27, 1918 – May 29, 2011) was China's first female ambassador in 1979. She was ambassador to the Netherlands 1979–1981, then to Denmark and Iceland 1982–1984. She was married to Korean-born composer Zheng Lücheng. She accompanied him to North Korea in 1945, but appealed to Zhou Enlai to request Kim Il Sung Kim Il-sung (; , ; born Kim Song-ju, ; 15 April 1912 – 8 July 1994) was a North Korean politician and the founder of North Korea, which he ruled from the country's establishment in 1948 until his death in 1994. An ambassador is an official envoy, especially a high-ranking diplomat who represents a state and is usually accredited to another sovereign state or to an international organization as the resident representative of their own government or sovereign or appointed for a special and often temporary diplomatic assignment.
