Dinesh Singh Rana
Lieutenant general (India), Lieutenant General Dinesh Singh Rana Param Vishisht Seva Medal, PVSM, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, AVSM, Yudh Seva Medal, YSM, Sena Medal, SM is a serving general officer of the Indian Army. He currently serves as the Commander-in-Chief, Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN), having assumed command effective 1 June 2025. Military career Rana was commissioned into the 10th Garhwal Rifles on 19 December 1987. He is a graduate of the National Defence Academy (India), National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, and a postgraduate of the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington Cantonment, Wellington. Rana is also an alumnus of the National Defence College (India), National Defence College, New Delhi, the :es:Centro Superior de Estudios de la Defensa Nacional, Centre for National Defence Studies, Madrid, and the National Defense University (United States), National Defense University, United States.
