Dimitrios Mavroeidis
Dimitrios Mavroeidis (alternate spellings: ''Dimitris'', ''Mavroidis'') (Greek: Δημήτρης Μαυροειδής; born July 4, 1985) is a Greek former professional basketball player and currently the team manager for AEK Athens of the Greek Basket League and the Basketball Champions League. During his career as a player, he stood at 2.12 m (6 ft 11 in) tall and covered the center position. Professional career Mavroeidis began his professional career with the Greek League club Peristeri in 2002. He moved to Panionios in 2005. He signed with Maroussi in 2007. In 2010, he joined the Spanish ACB League club Bilbao Basket. In 2012, he joined the EuroLeague club Olympiacos. With Olympiacos, he won the 2012–13 championship of the EuroLeague. The Greek Basketball League (GBL), and also known as the Stoiximan Greek Basketball League (GBL) for sponsorship reasons, is the Greek basketball league system, first tier level professional basketball league in Greece. It is run by the Hellenic Basketball Association (abbreviated as HEBA; ), under the legal authority of the Hellenic Basketball Federation (abbreviated as HBF; ). 2017–18 Greek Basketball Cup
The 2017–18 Greek Basketball Cup was the 43rd edition of Greece's top-tier level professional national domestic basketball cup competition. The previous winners of the cup were Panathinaikos Superfoods. The cup competition started on 13 September 2017, and ended 17 February 2018. AEK won the competition. Format The top six placed teams from the top-tier level Greek Basket League 2016–17 season, gained an automatic bye to the 2017–18 Greek Cup quarterfinals.
