Dilsa Demirbag-Sten
Dilşa Demirbağ-Sten is a Kurdish-Swedish author and journalist. She is the Secretary General of Berättarministeriet, a foundation she co-founded together with Robert Weil and Sven Hagströmer in 2011. In 2019, she became a member of the Swedish Press Council and is a member of the reference group for the Swedish government agency Delegation against segregation since 2018. She is also a member of the expert council to The Swedish Crown Princess Couple's Foundation. Dilsa Demirbag-Sten is a former member of the Swedish Globalization Council, has been a member of the reference group for the Swedish government agency Kulturrådet. Demirbag-Sten is a former board member of the AllBright foundation the National Swedish Touring Theatre, the Swedish Institute, Linnéuniversitetet, the Swedish Red Cross, the Swedish Humanist Association as well as from the Think Tank FORES. Midyat
Midyat (, , , ) is a municipality and district of Mardin Province, Turkey. Its area is 1,241 km2, and its population is 120,069 (2022). In the modern era, the town is populated by Kurds, Mhallami Arabs and Assyrians. The old Estel neighborhood is about 80 to 85% Kurdish-populated. it was originally a Syriac Christian town made up of mostly Syriac Orthodox, Catholics, and Protestants. The spoken language of Midyat was until recently modern Aramaic (Surayt) and the town has throughout history been considered the capital of the Tur Abdin region, the heartland of Syriac Christianity. History Assyrian tablets from 9th century BC refer to Midyat as '' Matiate''. The Ministry of Integration and Gender Equality () was a ministry of the Government Offices of Sweden. Its areas of responsibility included consumer affairs, democracy issues, gender equality, human rights, integration issues, metropolitan affairs, minority issues, non-governmental organizations and youth policy. Torgny Karl Segerstedt (1 November 1876 – 31 March 1945) was a Swedish professor and scholar of comparative religion, who later became editor-in-chief of the newspaper ''Göteborgs Handels- och Sjöfartstidning''. He is most remembered for his uncompromising anti-Nazism, Nazi stance and his efforts to alert the Swedish public to the threat of Fascism during the 1930s. Biography Torgny Segerstedt was born at Karlstad in Värmland County, Sweden. He was the son of the teacher and publicist Albrekt Segerstedt (1844–1894) and Fredrika Sofia Bohman (died 1884). He earned a cand.theol. degree from Lund University in 1901 and in 1903 he became a lecturer in the history of religion. He was a lecturer in theological encyclopedics at Lund University from 1904 to 1912. He was awarded a doctor of theology in 1912.
