Dilla District () is a district in the northwestern Awdal region of Somaliland. Its capital lies at Dilla. Demographics This district is exclusively inhabited by the Mohamuud Nuur, one of the two sub divisions of Reer Nuur, a subclan of the Gadabuursi. R.J Hayward and I.M. Dilla, Awdal
Dilla is a town located in the western Awdal region of Somaliland. It lies between the city of Borama and Kalabaydh town. The town is presently part of Baki district. Demographics There is no census on the town population, but the district of Baki has a population of 96,885 people. Dilla, Ethiopia
Dilla () is a market town and separate woreda in southern Ethiopia. The administrative center of the Gedeo Zone in the former Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples Region (SNNPR) now it is South Ethiopia Regional State (SER), it is located on the main road from Addis Ababa to Nairobi. The town has a longitude and latitude of , with an elevation of 1570 meters above sea level. It was part of Wenago woreda and is currently surrounded by Dilla Zuria woreda. Until the completion in the early 1970s of the tarmac road to the Kenya border, Dilla had been located at the southern end of the all-weather road from Addis Ababa and thus became the major transfer and marketing point for coffee grown farther south, particularly of the much-prized Yirgacheffe varietal (see coffee varietals). Dilla University has its origins in the Dilla College of Teachers' Education and Health Sciences, first established in 1996. In 2001, it was included in the expansion of a regional Debub University ("Southern" University).
