Industrial music is a genre of music that draws on harsh, mechanical, transgressive or provocative sounds and themes. By 1997, Xorcist grew to include Evoltwin. In addition to providing some vocals, Evoltwin created the cover art for ''Soul Reflection'' and other subsequent releases. Stone also created two side projects, Xenon and Diode Fetish. Stone still DJs and VJs under the name DJ/VJ Bat, and maintains the Xorcist.com website to promote his work. Gridlock (band)
Gridlock was a San Francisco based experimental electronic band, consisting of Mike Wells and Mike Cadoo. Conceived by Wells in 1993 as "heaviness through electronics", the band was initially a part of the electro-industrial scene, but the band's sound eventually began incorporating more atmospheric textured elements, as well as elements of glitch and IDM. Biography Gridlock began as an expression of Mike Wells' desire to stray from his experience in the San Francisco thrash metal scene, and his interest in experimental music. During the production of his initial recordings under the Gridlock moniker, he met Skinlab guitarist Mike Cadoo through the Oakland heavy metal scene, who eventually joined Gridlock as a vocalist. Klute (musician)
Klute is the primary recording alias of Tom Withers, a drum and bass producer and DJ from Ipswich, UK. He is also the drummer, vocalist and songwriter of the English hardcore band The Stupids. Klute first turned to electronic production in the early 1990s, experimenting with techno before turning to drum and bass. He released two 12" singles under the 'Override' alias in 1995 and 1996, as well as appearing on Ninja Tune compilations. In 1997 he released the 12" single ''Deep Control'' under the alias 'The Spectre'. The original incarnation consisted of vocalist Blayne Alexander, Brittain Alexander, and John Whatley. The band released the studio album '' Obsess'' in 1994 for Perception Rek. History Insight 23 was formed in Los Angeles by vocalist Blayne Alexander, Brittain Alexander, and John Whatley. In 1994, the band debuted with two cassette releases for Perception Rek: the single ''Disease/The Hurt Hate Lies'' and full-length album '' Obsess''. The following year Insight 23 sent a promotional package of demos to Fifth Colvmn Records, who had just reported securing a distribution deal with Caroline Records, and the label reissued their debut album on compact disc.
