Diggy Simmons
Daniel Dwayne "Diggy" Simmons III (born March 21, 1995) is an American rapper, singer and actor from Queens, New York City. The fourth child of Run-DMC's Joseph "Rev. Run" Simmons, he began his recording career in 2009 and signed with Atlantic Records the following year. In 2011, his single " Do It Like You" (featuring Jeremih) and guest appearance on Mindless Behavior's single " Mrs. Right" marked his first and only entries on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. The former preceded the release of debut studio album, '' Unexpected Arrival'' (2012), which peaked at number 11 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and was met with positive critical reception. ''Rap-Up'' is a magazine launched in 2001 by founder Devin Lazerine. The publication was originally a website devoted to hip hop, until Lazerine decided to pitch the possibility of a magazine to several publishers. The magazine is focused on the hip hop and R&B aspect of the music industry, and predominantly features interviews with artists, actors and other entertainers. Issued quarterly, the magazine's target audience was the 14 to 28 demographic, although the demographic has become older over time. The magazine's first two issues were one time deals, although Lazerine and his brother Cameron received attention for their age and white background. The magazine restarted publication in 2005, when it managed to sell enough copies to ensure future releases. "Made You Look" is the first single from Nas' 2002 album, '' God's Son''. Built around several samples lifted from the Incredible Bongo Band's "Apache", the single was important in establishing Nas' direction following his battle with Jay-Z and the ''Stillmatic'' album in its reliance on intricate lyricism and an old-school aesthetic. The song reached much commercial success, on the level of " I Can", and it was a sizeable hit among urban audiences and remains one of the more popular tracks on the ''God's Son'' album. It is his third highest charting single to date. ''RedEye'' was a publication put out by the ''Chicago Tribune'' geared toward 18 to 34-year-olds. It was published every weekday since its inception in 2002 until February 3, 2017.
