Dietmar Lampert
Dietmar Lampert (born 13 October 1966) is a politician from Liechtenstein who served in the Landtag of Liechtenstein from 2021 to 2025. He has also served as mayor of Schellenberg since 2023. Life Lampert was born 13 October 1966 in Schellenberg as the son of Max Lampert and Katharina Bischof as one of four children. He attended primary school in Schellenberg, and then secondary school in Eschen. From 1982 to 1986 he conducted an apprenticeship as an agricultural machinery mechanic. In 2002 he graduated as an engineer. From 2007 to 2023 he worked at ThyssenKrupp as the department head of project management and later as a senior project manager. From 1999 to 2015 Lampert was a member of the Schellenberg municipal council as a member of the Patriotic Union. From 2007 to 2015 he was the school board president and from 2005 to 2023 he was the chairman of the Patriotic Union group in Schellenberg. Vorarlberg ( ; ; , , or ) is the westernmost States of Austria, state () of Austria. It has the second-smallest geographical area after Vienna and, although it also has the second-smallest population, it is the state with the second-highest population density (also after Vienna). The European Economic Area (EEA) was established via the ''Agreement on the European Economic Area'', an international agreement which enables the extension of the European Union's single market to member states of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA). The EEA links the EU member states and three of the four EFTA states (Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway) into an internal market governed by the same EU laws. ''Liechtensteiner Vaterland'' (; lit. "Liechtenstein Fatherland") is the largest daily newspaper in Liechtenstein. Published by Vaduzer Medienhaus AG, it is the official newspaper of the Patriotic Union party. History In January 1936, Christian-Social People's Party and Liechtenstein Homeland Service merged to form the Patriotic Union. As a result, the parties respective newspapers, the '' Liechtensteiner Nachrichten'' and ''Stimme für heimische Wirtschaft, Kultur und Volkstum'' merged to form the ''Liechtensteiner Vaterland'' with Carl Freiherr von Vogelsang as the first editor in chief. 2025 Liechtenstein General Election
General elections were held in Liechtenstein on 9 February 2025 to elect the 25 members of the Landtag of Liechtenstein, Landtag. The Patriotic Union (Liechtenstein), Patriotic Union (VU) won 10 seats, while the Progressive Citizens' Party (FBP) won seven, the lowest in its history. The Democrats for Liechtenstein (DpL) won six seats, being the highest amount of seats won by a third party in Liechtenstein's history. The Free List (Liechtenstein), Free List (FL) won two seats. Voter turnout was 76.3%. Incumbent prime minister Daniel Risch did not run for re-election. The VU nominated Brigitte Haas for prime minister, while the FBP nominated Ernst Walch. The DpL nominated Thomas Rehak and Erich Hasler as government candidates, being the first time the party has done so.
