Diederik Hol (born 10 April 1972) is a Dutch design engineer, designer of the Dual Box inline skate frame and the Narrow Shape Cross-Section (NSX) ice blade, and founder/director of skate company CadoMotus Skating BV. Education and early career After obtaining his engineer's degree in Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, Hol became involved in a graduate project with Interraps - a Dutch producer of inline and ice skates - working on a planned improvement of the first (Viking) clapskate design with the aim of turning a 100-year-old patent into a product that could break ice speed skating world records. Diederik Wissels (born December 1960, in Rotterdam, Netherlands) is a Dutch jazz pianist. In 1968, he moved to Brussels, Belgium and later attended Boston's Berklee College of Music. In his early career, he played with Chet Baker, Joe Henderson and Toots Thielemans. Wissels' solo and duo recordings include "The Hillock Songstress" (1994), "From This Day Forward" (1997), "Streams" with Bart Defoort (2001), "Song of You" (2004) and "Pasarela" (2017). Diederik Jacob van Tuyll van Serooskerken (; 6 April 1772 – 11 April 1826) was a Dutch nobleman who served as a major general in the Imperial Russian Army, and later as the third Russian ambassador to the United States. Biography Tuyll van Serooskerken was born on 6 April 1772, in The Hague. He served in the Dutch army until November 1803. He later joined the Imperial Russian Army and fought in the Napoleonic Wars as a major general. After the war, he served various diplomatic positions for Russia in the Kingdom of Naples and Holy See. On 19 April 1823, he was appointed by Czar Alexander I of Russia to be the Russian ambassador to the United States. Diederik Tulp
Dirck or Diederik Tulp (1624–1682) was the son of the surgeon professor Nicolaes Tulp and involved in the Dutch East India Company and the Civic guard. Dirck Tulp visited Russia with his father-in-law; he was painted in 1653 by Paulus Potter. Life In 1647, Dirck accompanied Albert Burgh, son of a brewer and former mayor of Amsterdam, on his mission to Russia, to build up trade connections, especially in grain. Dirck Tulp married Anna Burgh in 1650, daughter of the late Burgh. The couple lived initially on Kloveniersburgwal 65, a building given to Anna by her family. This house had been used for dying silk since 1603. The silk was imported from Persia, and shipped, either through Archangelsk or the Strait of Gibraltar. Diederik Alexander Stapel (born 19 October 1966) is a Dutch former professor of social psychology at Tilburg University. In 2011 Tilburg University suspended Stapel for fabricating and manipulating data for his research publications. This scientific misconduct took place over a number of years and affected dozens of his publications. By 2015, fifty-eight of Stapel's publications had been retracted. He has been described in coverage by the ''New York Times'' as "the biggest con man in academic science". Diederik Sonoy or Snoey (Kalkar, Duchy of Cleves, 1529Pieterburen, 2 June 1597) was a leader of the Geuzen during the Eighty Years' War. Biography Diderick Sonoy was born about 1529 in the Duchy of Cleves. Diederik Rudolf Simon (born 10 April 1970 in Bloemendaal, North Holland) is a rower from the Netherlands, who competed for his native country in five consecutive Summer Olympics. He won the gold medal with the ''Holland Acht'' (Holland Eight) at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. He earned silver medals in the Men's Quadruple Sculls ( Sydney 2000) and in the Men's Eights ( Athens 2004). After becoming a coach, he rejoined the national team in 2007, placing fourth at the Beijing Olympics (2008) and fifth at the London Olympics (2012), both in the Dutch Men's Eights. Diederik Van Silfhout
Diederik van Silfhout (born 20 April 1988 in Ede, Netherlands) is a Dutch Olympic dressage rider. Representing the Netherlands, he competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics where he placed 4th in the team and 11th in the individual competitions. Van Silfhout also competed at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France, where he won a team bronze medal and placed 9th in the freestyle dressage competition. He competed in Normandy as a late replacement for Danielle Heijkoop, who was forced to withdraw after her horse sustained injury. He also competed at the 2015 European Dressage Championships in Aachen where he won a gold medal in team dressage. Diederik Maarten Samsom (; born 10 July 1971) is a Dutch environmentalist and retired politician who was the leader of the Leader of the Labour Party (Netherlands), Labour Party (''Partij van de Arbeid'', PvdA) from 2012 to 2016.
