Dick Cooper
Richard Cooper is a Canadian musician and writer based in Ottawa, Ontario. 1970s A founding member of the popular 1970s Canadian Southern rock band The Cooper Brothers, he toured extensively throughout North America and helped the band achieve several hits under the Capricorn Records label, including a number of songs which charted on The Billboard Hot 100. 1980s When the band went their separate ways in 1983, Dick began working as a children’s television writer (working under the name Richard Cooper) and over the next few years scripted several shows for Nickelodeon (TV channel), Nickelodeon including ''You Can't Do That On Television'' (made at CJOH-DT, CJOH-TV in Ottawa) and ''Turkey Television, Turkey T.V.'', both Roger Price (television producer), Roger Price creations. CNE Bandshell
The CNE Bandshell also spelled CNE Band Shell, is an open-air concert venue in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located at Exhibition Place on the shores of Lake Ontario. Built in 1936, it hosts the annual music program of the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) and is also used for festivals and picnic events, for which the "Bandshell Park" can be rented from the Municipal government of Toronto, City of Toronto. Description Inspired by the Hollywood Bowl, the Art Deco-styled Shell (theater), shell was built in 1936 according to designs prepared by the Toronto architectural firm of Craig and Madill. Iris Award
The NATPE Iris Awards is an honor for local television programming presented annually in the United States by the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE). The awards were first introduced in 1968 and were initially titled the Program Excellence Awards. However, in 1977 the name was changed. The Iris Awards are the only national award meant to honor quality local television programming. From 1968 to 1997, the awards were presented at the annual NATPE Conference and Exhibition. After 1997, the awards were presented at a special ceremony in Los Angeles, California. ''Jeopardy!'' is an American television game show created by Merv Griffin. The show is a quiz competition that reverses the traditional question-and-answer format of many quiz shows. Rather than being given questions, contestants are instead given general knowledge clues in the form of answers and they must identify the person, place, thing, or idea that the clue describes, phrasing each response in the form of a question. The original daytime version debuted on NBC on March 30, 1964, and aired until January 3, 1975. A nighttime Broadcast syndication, syndicated edition aired weekly from September 1974 to September 1975, and a revival, ''The All-New Jeopardy!'', ran on NBC from October 1978 to March 1979 on weekdays.
