Dicerapanorpa
''Dicerapanorpa'' is a genus of scorpionflies endemic to China.Zhong W and Hua BZ. (2013). ''Dicerapanorpa'', a new genus of East Asian Panorpidae (Insecta: Mecoptera: Panorpidae) with descriptions of two new species. Journal of Natural History, 47, 1019-1046. They can be easily recognized by the two anal horns on the posterior margin of the sixth tergum in males. The anal horns of ''Dicerapanorpa magna'' (Chou, 1981) are used to grasp the female's abdomen during mating.Zhong W, Ding G and Hua BZ. (2015). Panorpidae
The Panorpidae are a family of scorpionflies containing more than 480 species. The family is the largest family in Mecoptera, covering approximately 70% species of the order. Species range between 9–25 mm long. These insects have four membranous wings and threadlike antennae. Their elongated faces terminate with mouthparts that are used to feed on dead and dying insects, nectar, and rotting fruit. While in larval form, they scavenge by consuming dead insects on the ground.
