Diane Hessan is an American author and Vice Chair of the Trustee Advisory Board of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Career Hessan began her career at General Foods, in product management, and then worked in consulting at Resource Planning Associates. In 1980, she joined The Forum Corporation, where she become Executive Vice. In 2000, she joined Communispace. Hessan has received awards and accolades including Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year, The Northstar Award from Springboard, the Most Admired CEO Award from the Boston Business Journal, the Pinnacle Award for Achievement in Entrepreneurship from the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, and the Believe in Girls Award from Big Sister of Massachusetts. Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in Boston, Massachusetts is a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School and one of the founding members of Beth Israel Lahey Health. It was formed out of the 1996 merger of Beth Israel Hospital (founded in 1916 by the Jewish community) and New England Deaconess Hospital (founded in 1896 by Methodist deaconesses). General Foods
General Foods Corporation was a company whose direct predecessor was established in the United States by C. W. Post, Charles William (C. W.) Post as the Postum Cereal Company in 1895. The company changed its name to "General Foods" in 1929, after several corporate acquisitions, by Marjorie Merriweather Post after she inherited the established cereal business from her father, C. W. The Forum Corporation is a learning and consulting company. History Early years Forum was founded in 1971. Five partners, several of whom had recently graduated from Harvard Business School, initially self-funded the startup. By 1982 it was ranked 362 on the Inc. 500 list of the fastest growing private companies in America, with 170 employees and 40 part-time instructors.
