''Diabolik'' () is an Italian comic series created by sisters Angela and Luciana Giussani. One of the most popular series in the history of Italian comics, ''Diabolik'' was created in 1962 and consists of more than 900 volumes, and has led to the birth of the ''fumetti neri'' comic subgenre. The series is named after its protagonist, an anti-heroic thief, inspired by several previous pulp fiction characters from Italy and other countries. Its stories consist of monthly black-and-white, digest-sized volumes. Angela Giussani (10 June 1922, Milan – 10 February 1987, Milan) and Luciana Giussani (19 April 1928, Milan – 31 March 2001, Milan) were two Italian comic book writers. They are best known for their comic book anti-hero series ''Diabolik''. The series has sold more than 150 million copies and inspired films, a radio show, and an animated TV series. Angela Giussani's biography Angela Giussani, the daughter of a Milanese entrepreneur, was born in Milan on 10 June 1922. She was pushed into the school career by her family and, above all, by her father, who wanted her to be a teacher. Milano Cadorna is a commuter railway station located near the Castello Sforzesco in Milan, Italy. History The original station, built in wood in the style of a chalet, was opened in 1879. "Truth serum" is a colloquial name for any of a range of psychoactive drugs used in an effort to obtain information from subjects who are unable or unwilling to provide it otherwise. Sodium thiopental, also known as Sodium Pentothal (a trademark of Abbott Laboratories), thiopental, thiopentone, or Trapanal (also a trademark), is a rapid-onset short-acting barbiturate general anesthetic. It is the thiobarbiturate analog of pentobarbital, and an analog of thiobarbital.
