Dhruv Sharma
Dhruv Sharma (1982 – 1 August 2017) was an Indian Kannada-language actor and cricketer. Career Acting career Dhruv Sharma played a small role in '' Yahoo'' (2004). He made his debut as a lead actor with ''Snehanjali'' (2007), which won the Guinness Book of World Record for the first film to have a deaf-mute person in the lead role. The film received mixed reviews but Dhruv's performance was praised. His next film was the Malayalam film '' The Hitlist'' (2012) in which he played the antagonist. The film had a low-key release and notably featured Mohanlal in a voiceover. The film released to negative reviews with a critic opining that his performance was one of the saving graces. In 2013, he co-starred Roopanjali and Venkatesh Prasad in the romantic comedy ''Neenandre Ishta Kano''. A critic felt that Dhruv was good but that Venkatesh Prasad outshone him. ''Yahoo '' is a 2004 Indian Kannada-language horror film directed by Seetharam Karanth and starring Saurav, Neetha and Dattatreya. The film is based on a true incident that happened in a house in Haladi. The film was released on 10 December 2004 along with ''Praana''. Cast Production The film was shot in Raghavendra Maiyya's eight-hundred-year-old house. Havyaka Kannada and Tala-Maddale were used in the film. Reception A critic from ''Deccan Herald'' wrote that "The director has taken care neither to justify the existence of ghosts nor their absence. He has left to the audience to decide. Abhinaya is an Indian actress and model who mainly works in Tamil and Telugu films. She is both hearing and speech impaired. Deaf-mute is a term which was used historically to identify a person who was either deaf and used sign language or both deaf and could not speak.
