Dhiraj Pratap Singh
Dhiraj Pratap Singh ( ne, धिरज प्रताप सिंह) is the 29th and current Inspector General of Nepal Police. He was appointed as the Chief of Nepal Police after succeeding Shailesh Thapa Chhetri on 3 May 2022 following a cabinet decision. Biography Singh joined Nepal Police as an Inspector on March 24, 1993. He also serving as the incumbent Head of INTERPOL National Central Bureau, Kathmandu as an ex officio. Singh was promoted as Additional IG on March, 2022. Prior to join as IGP, he served as Central Investigation Bureau. Before that, he was chief of the police force in Madhes Province as a Deputy Inspector General. As DIG, Singh also lead the Central Bureau of Investigation. As the Superintendent of Police, Singh commanded the Dang district. Shailesh Thapa Chhetri ( ne, शैलेश थापा क्षेत्री) was the 28th Inspector General of Nepal Police. He was appointed as the Chief of Nepal Police after succeeding Thakur Prasad Gyawaly on 9 July 2020 following a cabinet decision. He joined Nepal Police as an Inspector on May 1, 1992. On 26 December 2021, he attended the meeting of the Central Security Committee which was related to the upcoming National Assembly election and overall situation of law and order in the country. Nanda Bahadur Pun ( ne, नन्दबहादुर पुन; born 23 October 1966), is a Nepalese politician and also known as Nanda Kishor Pun, is the second and the current vice president of Nepal, in office since 2015. Bidya Devi Bhandari (, ; born 19 June 1961) is a Nepali politician who is serving as the second and current president of Nepal. She formerly served as the minister of defence and minister of environment and population. She is the first woman to hold the office in the country.
