Dhamar Governorate
Dhamar (), also spelt ''Thamar'', is a governorate of Yemen located in the central highlands. Etymology Dhamar is named after Dhamar Ali Yahbur, who ruled the area that now comprises Dhamar Governorate as King of Saba', Dhu Raydan, Hadhramaut and Yamnit. His name means "Owner of the order". Geography Dhamar Governorate has a total area of , and is divided among 12 administrative districts () and further divided into 314 '' 'Uzlat'' (sub-districts). According to the 2004 census, the population was 1,329,229 people, most of whom live in the governorate's 3,262 villages. A visitor may enter the governorate about south of the Sana'a Airport. The center of the governorate is about from Sana'a, the capital of Yemen. Frost
Frost is a thin layer of ice on a solid surface, which forms from water vapor that deposits onto a freezing surface. Frost forms when the air contains more water vapor than it can normally hold at a specific temperature. The process is similar to the formation of dew, except it occurs below the freezing point of water typically without crossing through a liquid state. Air always contains a certain amount of water vapor, depending on temperature. Warmer air can hold more than colder air. When the atmosphere contains more water than it can hold at a specific temperature, its relative humidity rises above 100% becoming supersaturated, and the excess water vapor is forced to deposit onto any nearby surface, forming seed crystals. Dhamar City District
Dhamar (; Old South Arabian: 𐩹𐩣𐩧 ''Ḏmr'') is a city in south-western Yemen. It is located at , at an elevation of around . Overview Dhamar is situated to the south of Sana'a, north of Ibb, and west of Al-Bayda', above sea level. Its name goes back to the king of Saba' and Dhu-Raydan at 135–175 AD, whose name was Dhamar Ali Yahbur, who is renowned for restoring the great dam of Ma’rib, and whose statue was found at the city of Al-Nakhla Al-Hamra'a ("The Red Palm"). Raymah Governorate
Raymah ( ') is a governorate of Yemen. Its capital is Al Jabin. The governorate was established in January 2004 from parts of Sanaa Governorate. Its name derives from Wadi Rima, which crosses through the governorate.
