The Dhaka Capitals is a professional franchise cricket team that plays in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). They represent Dhaka Division. The team plays their home matches at the SBNCS. Dhaka is one of the most successful BPL franchises, having won three BPL titles in the BPL, it has appeared in 5 finals and qualified for the playoff stages 7 times, the most amongst the BPL teams. The team competes in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and was one of the six franchises incorporated when the league was established in 2012. The team was originally established in 2012 for the inaugural BPL season as the Dhaka Gladiators, and won both the 2012 and 2013 editions of the tournament. The Gladiators were one of the teams dissolved in 2013 after the second edition. The franchise was sold to BEXIMCO Group and rebranded as Dhaka Dynamites. Bangladesh Premier League
Bangladesh Premier League (), also known as Dutch-Bangla Bank BPL for sponsorship reasons, is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in Bangladesh organised by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). It was formed in 2011 by the BCB, after the suspension of its predecessor organisation, 2009/10 National Cricket League Twenty20. The first season was held in February 2012, and the games were held across Dhaka and Chittagong. The BPL is headed by the chairman of its Governing Council. Durbar Rajshahi () is a Bangladeshi franchise Twenty20 cricket team. The team is based in Rajshahi in Bangladesh and competes in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), a Twenty20 franchise cricket competition. Mohammed Rafique (, born 5 September 1970) is a Bangladeshi cricket coach and former cricketer. He was the first Bangladeshi bowler to take 100 wickets in both formats, Test Cricket, Test matches and ODI Cricket, ODI matches. Rafique is known for his contribution to Bangladesh Cricket. He played for the World XI in the Super Series against Australia national cricket team, Australia in 2005 and the Asia XI for the exhibition series against Africa XI in 2007. Imran Nazir () (born 16 December 1981) is a Pakistani former cricketer who played for the Pakistan national cricket team between 1999 and 2012 and was widely known to be a hard hitting opening batter. Balapuwaduge Manukulasuriya Amith Jeevan Mendis (; born 15 January 1983) is a former Sri Lankan professional cricketer, who played limited over internationals. Icon player is a status given to an athlete to indicate that they are the most valued player in the team. Mohammad Ashraful (; born 7 July 1984) is a Bangladeshi cricketer, who has represented the Bangladesh national cricket team, Bangladesh men's national team. The 2010 National Cricket League Twenty20 () tournament in Bangladesh, abbreviated as NCL 2010 or the NCL T20 2010 or or Destiny Group NCL T20 2009-10, played in April 2010, this was first edition of a Twenty20 league involving the teams in the National Cricket League (NCL). The tournament was initiated by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). It included six teams representing the divisions of Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Premier League 2025, also known as Dutch-Bangla Bank BPL T20 2025 for sponsorship reasons, was the eleventh season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), a top-level professional Twenty20 cricket league in Bangladesh which was organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). The non-cooperation movement, also known as the one-point movement, was a pro-democratic disinvestment movement and a mass uprising against the Awami League-led government of Bangladesh, initiated within the framework of 2024 Bangladesh quota reform movement.
