Devonte Devon Brown (born August 20, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for BC Tallinna Kalev of the Estonian Korvpalli Meistriliiga. He is a 6 ft 3 in (1.93 m) tall point guard. College career Brown played college basketball at Indiana State University, with the Sycamores, from 2011 to 2016; red-shirting in the 2011–12 season. He led the Sycamores to a 4-yr record of 71–59 (.546) and 2 post-season tournament berths (2x NIT). He twice led the Sycamores in scoring and currently stands 24th in career scoring (1,170 pts), 10th in career defensive rebounds (371), 2nd in games played (130), 4th in made free throws (431), and 7th in minutes played (3,306). Professional career After going undrafted in the 2016 NBA draft, Brown signed with OKK Sloboda Tuzla of the Premijer liga BiH; he started 21 of 29 games, averaging 7.9 points and leading them to a 17–13 record, good for fourth place in league play. Korvpalli Meistriliiga
The Korvpalli Meistriliiga ( en, Basketball Champions League), known as the OlyBet Korvpalli Meistriliiga for sponsorship reasons, is the highest tier level and most important professional basketball league in Estonia. It is controlled by the Estonian Basketball Association. The first Estonian Basketball Championship tournament was held in 1925. During Soviet era (1941–1991) the league was called the Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic Championship. After Estonia regained its independence in 1991, the league was reformed as the Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML). The KML, which is played under FIBA rules, currently consists of eight teams. The current KML champions are Pärnu who won their first Estonian Championship in the 2022 KML Play-offs. National Association Of Basketball Coaches
The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, is an American organization of men's college basketball coaches. It was founded in 1927 by Phog Allen, head men's basketball coach at the University of Kansas. Formation of the NABC began when Joint Basketball Rules Committee, then the central governing authority of the game, announced without notice that it had adopted a change in the rules which virtually eliminated dribbling. Allen, a student of basketball founder James Naismith, organized a nationwide protest which ultimately resulted in the dribble remaining part of the game. In 1939, the NABC held the first national basketball tournament in Evanston, Illinois at the Northwestern Fieldhouse. Oregon defeated Ohio State for the first tournament championship.
