Devontae Shuler
Devontae Shuler (born February 9, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Cleveland Charge of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Ole Miss Rebels. High school career As a sophomore, Shuler averaged 25.5 points per game for Irmo High School in Columbia, South Carolina and led his team to the Class 4A lower state title game. He played alongside Zion Williamson and Ja Morant with the South Carolina Hornets Amateur Athletic Union program. After the season, he transferred to Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia. Shuler helped his team win the High School National title as a junior. In his senior season, Shuler averaged 15.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 3.7 steals per game. Ole Miss Rebels Men's Basketball
The Ole Miss Rebels men's basketball team represents the University of Mississippi in the sport of basketball. The Rebels compete in the NCAA Division I and the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They started the 2015–16 season playing home games at Tad Smith Coliseum on the university's Oxford campus, but played their final game in that facility on December 22, 2015. The Rebels opened a new on-campus arena, The Pavilion at Ole Miss, on January 7, 2016. The Rebels were led by 12-year head coach Andy Kennedy until his resignation on February 18, 2018. Tony Madlock, an assistant under Kennedy, served as the interim head coach for the remainder of the 2017–18 season. Temetrius Jamel "Ja" Morant (born August 10, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Memphis Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Nicknamed "G12", he played college basketball for the Murray State Racers, where he was a consensus first-team All-American as a sophomore in 2019. Morant was only lightly recruited by NCAA Division I programs and unranked by recruiting services, despite having been named All-Region Most Valuable Player three times and earning All-State honors at Crestwood High School in Sumter, South Carolina. The 2019 NBA draft was held on June 20, 2019. It took place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Kermit Davis
John Kermit Davis Jr. (born December 14, 1959) is an American college basketball coach for the Ole Miss Rebels. Davis was previously the head coach at Middle Tennessee. His head coaching experience also includes brief stops at Idaho (twice) and Texas A&M. Early life and family Davis's father, Kermit Sr., was the head coach at Mississippi State University for seven seasons, ending in 1977. He was an alumnus of the school and was promoted to head coach at age 34 after four years as an assistant for the Bulldogs. In his first season in 1971, he was named SEC Coach of the Year. The younger Davis graduated from Starkville High School in 1978 and then played at Phillips County Community College in Arkansas for two years, and transferred to hometown Mississippi State, where he played two seasons and earned a bachelor's degree in 1982 and a master's in 1984 while a graduate assistant. Breein Tyree (born January 13, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for Filou Oostende of the BNXT League. He played college basketball for the Ole Miss Rebels. High school career Raised in the Somerset section of Franklin Township, Somerset County, New Jersey, Tyree played basketball, football, lacrosse and soccer in high school. He played lacrosse as a freshman for Rutgers Preparatory School in Somerset, New Jersey before suffering a lung contusion. Miami Hurricanes Men's Basketball
The Miami Hurricanes men's basketball team is the college basketball team of the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. The team competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The University of Miami men's basketball team was formed in 1926, but the program was later dropped by the university in 1971.
