Devid Striesow
Devid Striesow (born 1 October 1973 in Bergen auf Rügen, East Germany) is a German actor. After his school education, he moved to Berlin to start an apprenticeship as a goldsmith but the goldsmith's business went bankrupt before Striesow could start. The fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 changed his life plans, so he went back to school to take his ''Abitur''. Initially, he studied jazz guitar. He then applied to the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts, Berlin. His graduating class of 1999 included Nina Hoss and Fritzi Haberlandt. He performs in theatre, film (since 2000) and television (since 1999). He starred as "Sturmbannführer Herzog" (Bernhard Krüger) in Stefan Ruzowitzky's 2007 film ''The Counterfeiters (2007 film), The Counterfeiters'', which was awarded the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film for that year. ''Marseille'' is a 2004 German drama film directed by Angela Schanelec. It was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival. Synopsis Sophie, a young photographer, does an apartment swap with Zelda from Marseille in February, so she can get away from Berlin. While Marseille appears harsh and closed in the bright sun, she starts photographing the city. In a car repair garage, she meets Pierre, a young mechanic who lends her his car, and she drives around. Frederick Barbarossa (December 1122 – 10 June 1190), also known as Frederick I (; ), was the Holy Roman Emperor from 1155 until his death in 1190. Simon Of Utrecht
Simon of Utrecht (, died 14 October 1437) was a warship captain of the Hanseatic League during the Middle Ages. He was probably born in Flanders, but emigrated to Hamburg, Germany, where he received citizenship in 1400. He became famous for his participation in the capturing the pirate Klaus Störtebeker in 1401. Based on his popularity stemming from his battle against the Victual Brothers, Likedeelers at Heligoland, he was voted into Hamburg's city council in 1425. Despite his political obligations, he continued to participate in sea battles, for example the war between the Hanseatic League and the Danish islands in 1428. Fritz Tornow (27 July 1924 – 1990s) was a '' Feldwebel'' in the German Army who served as Adolf Hitler's personal dog-handler. He was one of the last people to occupy the ''Führerbunker'' when the underground complex was captured by Soviet Red Army troops. Biography Tornow had the task of taking care of Hitler's beloved German shepherd Blondi, as well as her puppies, and Eva Braun's dogs. Additionally, Tornow had his own pet dachshund.
