Devajit Saikia
Devajit Saikia is an Indian advocate, a former first class cricketer and a cricket administrator. Devajit Saikia is the secretary of the BCCI. He replaced Jay Shah, as the new Secretary of BCCI, with the latter being elected as the Chairperson of ICC. Apart from that, Saikia is a Board Director of ICC representing the BCCI. Career Born and raised in Guwahati, Saikia studied in Cotton University, Cotton College and went on to play in the Ranji Trophy for Assam cricket team. He was a wicket-keeper and a middle order batter. He also served as the secretary of Assam Cricket Association. He is also the general secretary of Guwahati Sports Association, one of the oldest sports bodies in eastern India. The Vijay Hazare Trophy (officially known as the IDFC First Bank Vijay Hazare Trophy for sponsorship reasons), is an annual List A Cricket competition organised by the BCCI. The Indian States and union territories teams take part in the Ranji Trophy. The tournament had been played at zonal level only until 2002–03 when it was expanded to become a national competition. Keenan Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium and an International Cricket Stadium in Jamshedpur, India. It is currently used mostly for cricket and football matches. Tarun Gogoi
Tarun Gogoi (1 April 1936 – 23 November 2020) was an Indian politician and lawyer who served as the 13th Chief Minister of Assam from 2001 to 2016. He was the longest serving Chief Minister of Assam.
