Deva Katta
Deva Katta is an Indian American film director and screenwriter who works in Telugu cinema. He directed cult classic Telugu movies such as '' Vennela'' (2005), '' Prasthanam'' (2010), '' Autonagar Surya'' (2014) and '' Republic (film)'' (2021). In 2010, '' Prasthanam'' was showcased in the Indian Panorama section at the International Film Festival of India. The film also won two Filmfare awards including Filmfare South Critics Award for Best film and Nandi Award for Best Feature Film in 2010. Early life Katta is a naturalized American citizen. ''Prassthanam'' () is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language political action drama film directed by Deva Katta and produced by Maanayata Dutt under her own banner Sanjay S Dutt Productions. A remake of the 2010 Telugu-language film of the same name, the film stars Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Manisha Koirala, Chunky Pandey, Ali Fazal, Satyajeet Dubey, and Amyra Dastur. ''Dynamite'' is a 2015 Indian Telugu-language action thriller film directed by Deva Katta and produced by Manchu Vishnu under the banner 24 Frames Factory featuring himself, Pranitha Subhash, J. D. Chakravarthy in pivotal roles. It is the official remake of Tamil film '' Arima Nambi''. Katta, however, said that he shot the film for nine days only and walked out due to creative differences.
