Desperate Journalist
Desperate Journalist are an English, London-based post-punk band, formed in 2012. They released their debut album, the self-titled ''Desperate Journalist (album), Desperate Journalist'', in 2014, on Fierce Panda Records. A second album, ''Grow Up (Desperate Journalist album), Grow Up'', was released in March 2017. The band's third album, ''In Search of the Miraculous (Desperate Journalist album), In Search of the Miraculous'', was released in February 2019. A fourth album, ''Maximum Sorrow!'', was released on 2 July 2021 Biography The band was formed in North London in 2012, by Jo Bevan (vocals), Rob Hardy (guitar), Simon Drowner (bass) and Caroline Helbert (drums). Indietracks
Indietracks was an annual indie pop music festival at the Midland Railway in Butterley, Derbyshire, UK. The main site was located at Swanwick Junction. Bands played in variety of locations, including a restored church, in a train shed, and on the moving trains themselves. The event was staffed by volunteers, with the proceeds from the festival going towards the upkeep and renovation of the site and trains. The first indiepop event held at the centre was in April 2007, organised by steam train restorer Stuart Mackay. Indietracks was established as a two-day festival in summer that year. Reviewing the 2011 festival, Malcolm Jack of ''The Guardian'' described the artists as "so obscure you have to wonder if they've even heard of themselves". Slow Readers Club
The Slow Readers Club are an English rock band from Manchester. Their third studio album ''Build A Tower'' was a UK Top 20 hit album reaching number 18; follow up ''The Joy of the Return'' made it to the Top 10, peaking at number 9 in March 2020. Omerta The Slow Readers Club evolved from earlier band Omerta. They formed in 2003 and signed to fashionable Manchester label Northern Ambition in 2005 when they released three singles, each of which sold out on the day of release and became collector's editions. Festival Internacional De Benicàssim
The Festival Internacional de Benicàssim (), commonly abbreviated to simply FIB, is an annual music festival that takes place in the town of Benicàssim, in the Valencian Community, Spain. It focuses mainly on pop, rock and electronica artists, as well as short films, fashion shows and art. FIB has a reputation of being among the best on the international festival circuit. The festival begins on the second Tuesday of July, when the camping grounds open, although music officially commences Thursday afternoon. The Tramlines Festival is an annual music festival held in Sheffield, UK. The festival was originally free to attend, but now requires tickets. The line-up consists of national and local artists. The festival was curated and organised by a panel comprising local venue owners, promoters and volunteers. The name of the festival is inspired by the city's tram network. Tramlines held its first festival in 2009, which attracted 35,000 fans and was seen as a huge success, and 2010's event doubled that figure.
