''Desperate Decision'' (French: ''La jeune folle'') is a 1952 French drama film directed by Yves Allégret and starring Danièle Delorme, Henri Vidal and Jean Debucourt.Rège p.186 It was shot at the Joinville Studios in Paris. The film's sets were designed by the art director Alexandre Trauner. Synopsis In 1922 during the Irish Civil War, a young woman Catherine heads to Dublin seeking vengeance on the man who killed her brother. She meets a man Steve who wishes to protect her as she is teetering on the edge of madness. However, when she discovers that he is the murderer she takes her revenge. Dublin
Dublin (; , or ) is the capital and largest city of Ireland. Marcel Journet (25 July 1868 – 7 September 1933), was a French operatic bass. He enjoyed a prominent career in England, France and Italy, and appeared at the foremost American opera houses in New York City and Chicago. Biography Journet was born in the town of Grasse, Alpes-Maritimes, and studied at the Paris Conservatory. He made his operatic debut at Montpellier in 1891. Journet went on to sing a wide range of roles in operas by Richard Wagner and major French and Italian composers during a distinguished, 40-year career. Maurice Ronet (13 April 1927 – 14 March 1983) was a French film actor, director, and writer. Early life Maurice Ronet was born Maurice Julien Marie Robinet in Nice, Alpes Maritimes. He was the only child of professional stage actors Émile Robinet and Gilberte Dubreuil. He made his stage debut at the age of 14 alongside his parents in Sacha Guitry's ''Deux couverts'' in Lausanne. After attending the Parisian acting school Centre du Spectacle de la Rue-Blanche, he entered the Paris Conservatoire in 1944, where Jean-Louis Barrault was one of his mentors.
