The song was written by her and Pedro Aznar originally for the Mike Newell-directed 2007 movie adaptation of Colombian writer Gabriel GarcÃa Márquez's 1985 novel ''Love in the Time of Cholera''. Pedro Flores born (March 9, 1894 – July 14, 1979) was one of Puerto Rico's best known composers of ballads and boleros. Early Years Flores (birth name: Pedro Juan Flores Córdova) was one of twelve children born into a poor family in the town of Naguabo, Puerto Rico. Flores' father died when he was only nine years old, necessitating that he had to work from a young age. When Flores was sixteen years old, he took a special course at the University of Puerto Rico (Universidad de Puerto Rico) and received his teachers’ certificate. Flores then taught for five years and worked for one year at a sugar mill om the island of Vieques. In 1918, he served in a clerical position in the United States Army. La Trampa was an Uruguayan rock band. It was conformed by Garo Arakelián (guitar), Alejandro Spuntone (vocals), Irvin Carballo (drums) and Carlos Ráfols (bass). The early years La Trampa appeared in scene in 1991 being conformed since winter 1990 by the first two members, architecture students Garo Arakelián and Sergio Schellemberg. In those times the band was formed only by classmates of Garo and Sergio (MartÃn Rosas 'vocalist', Nicolás RodrÃguez 'drums' and Gabriel Francia 'bass').
