Desmond Cullum-Jones
Desmond Alexander Cullum-Jones (1 December 1924 – 6 June 2002) was an American born, British actor known for films such as ''Impact'' (1963), ''Dad's Army'' (1971), '' Freak Out'' (2004) and ''Wednesday's Child'' (1962). On the TV show ''Dad's Army'' he played Private Desmond. Cullum-Jones also appeared in TV shows such as ''Suspense'', ''Sherlock Holmes'', ''Dixon of Dock Green'', '' Softly, Softly'', ''Crime of Passion'', ''Nancy Astor'', ''Father Dear Father'', ''Z-Cars'', '' The Good Life'' and ''The Bill''. ''Father, Dear Father'' is a British television sitcom produced by Thames Television for ITV from 1968 to 1973 starring Patrick Cargill. It was subsequently made into a spin-off film of the same title released in 1973. ''The War Machines'' is the tenth and final serial of the third season of the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'', which was first broadcast in 4 weekly parts from 25 June to 16 July 1966. The serial is set in London in the 1960s, shortly after construction of the Post Office Tower was completed. In the serial, the time traveller the First Doctor ( William Hartnell) and sailor Ben Jackson ( Michael Craze) work together to stop the self-thinking computer WOTAN (voiced by Gerald Taylor) from invading London with the deadly War Machines controlled by WOTAN. ''The Good Life'' (known as ''Good Neighbors'' in the United States) is a British sitcom, produced by BBC television. It ran from 4 April 1975 to 10 June 1978 on BBC1 and was written by Bob Larbey and John Esmonde. ''Z-Cars'' or ''Z Cars'' (pronounced "zed cars") is a British television police procedural series centred on the work of mobile uniformed police and CID detectives in the fictional town of Newtown, based on Kirkby, near Liverpool.
